Not to be a Smartass

Since I've posted lots of picture's below and have pushed the previous blog onto the next page, I feel obligated to re-post my latest comment which was written in response to Kelli's and Dad's comments. Apparently, Boris has gotten a bell and I think that's soooo cute! Also, I'm glad to hear Kelli's out rockin' the vote for Obama and was wondering if the parentals had decided if they were going to be feeling a little blue this November. Did everybody see the video of Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama? Obviously the vote of a former Bush cronie (albeit one with a higher IQ then the rest of the cabinet combined...) is hugely significant, but I really thought he made some poignant, insightful comments in his statement. In case anybody's interested in watching it again I thought I'd post up the link
(I'm helpful like that :)

Ok so I still haven't watched the video yet, but hey, tomorrow is election day! I'm super excited to watch history be made with the first United States President whose not an old white man. Seriously though, it is exciting to know that we were old enough to understand the significance. Much better than just reading about history in a book. So I thought I would try one of those Generous Serving recipes this week. Going to start with the Artisan bread. Although I'll need to buy a dutch oven I think, so we'll see how it goes. You would also be happy to hear I have picked out a recipe in each of the easy soup/crock pot books you left me and will be making them this week. I really miss all your delicious cooking by the way. I am definitely noticing the lack of prepared food-come back and cook for me Megs! Well I love you lots and lots and good luck on your first week of teaching solo. Cannot wait to hear how it goes.

Love,
Kelli
